While attending St. Gregory’s University as a student in the fall semester of 2010 and enrolled in a Communications course, I was tasked with a project involving public relations and news reporting. The aim of the project was to produce a graphical representation of an event that the student had been an active participant, which would then accompany a story about the event.

For this project, I chose the subject of Alabama football. I made this choice based on the fact that sports is very much an event of action and I happen to be a fan of the University of Alabama Athletics Department. During the prior season for the Alabama football program, I was fortunate enough to attend a football game. For this reason I chose football as the subject for my piece. To produce this composition, I utilized Adobe Photoshop and some photographs that I had taken during the game that I attended.

The composition consisted of four photographs that had been taken under low light conditions during a football game. First, these photographs were compiled in a panoramic sequence. Then the brightness of the images was increased to compensate for the low light conditions. Lastly, the official Alabama Crimson Tide logo was placed in the center of the position along with some information about the venue of the game.
