While in affiliation with the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, I was recommended to volunteer for the advisory committee for the inaugural Jim Thorpe Games. While acting in that capacity, I offered consultation to the committee based on my experience and expertise in communications, public relations and web development. This was done on behave of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation for the benefit of the Jim Thorpe Foundation in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
My primary contribution was to manage and further develop the Jim Thorpe Games website. The website was design and developed on the Drupal content management system platform prior to my involvement. In the absence of the previous web developer, I assumed the role of the lone developer for this website. Many modifications were made to the Drupal template for this website.
Many adjustments and additions were likewise made to the content of the website in the lead up to the games. This work was conducted in cooperation with the leadership of the Jim Thorpe Games committee. My primary responsibilities concluded as the Jim Thorpe Games began and the control of the website was delivered to the appropriate personnel to for further maintenance.
